OVARIAN CANCER ACTION
In January 2023, I became a member of the research network working within Ovarian Cancer Action: (OCA) a registered medical charity. There are multiple projects underway including increasing awareness of the disease. Every day, medical research inches closer to prolonging life amongst those suffering from cancer and finding a lasting cure. OCA works with and shares all findings with Cancer Research UK, pancreatic cancer, and many other cancer charities. The journey is difficult and immeasurably long but the data analysts, research scientists, and doctors who are captaining the ship are ‘Simply the Best’. The challenge is to remove the negative paths that life inflicts upon us and replace them with positive ones. OCA has asked me to write an article for them to reveal the high spots, the low spots, the problems, and the stark reality of the horrors of, and the suffering from, ovarian cancer. No holds barred. It’s not a game. So here is the article: the love, the suffering, the heartbreak, and the things that you can do now to change the lives of others, and yourself if necessary. The key to longevity may rest in the simplicity of self-healthcare and early diagnosis. It is a complex mountain we need to conquer. This for a bold new campaign entitled…. In Her Name
